Long walks in the dark through woods grown behind the park, I asked God who I'm supposed to be.
The stars smiled down on me, God answered in silent reverie. I said a prayer and fell asleep.

Every time we hear this song it makes us think of our grandmother. It was played in a video Christen made for her the christmas before she passed. We have been spending a lot of time with our peepaw at the lake this summer, helping him out, and it is literally a dream world. Think of waking up to the sound of the birds chirping, the sunshine peaking in from around the bright orange 70's drapes. Then walking out along the first story of his yard and seeing the chipmunks carrying apples from the orchards up into their hiding places, then looking over and seeing the squirrel digging in one of his many potted plants. It is like a breath of fresh air, a place that is our solitude, and definitely not a world that we just let anyone into. Being there this summer though, has made us want to capture it's warmth and whimsy. There is nothing like being below the orchard of apple trees or stepping your toes into the warm water. For us, it is a dream.
We have known Harley for many years now, and Lollie's hubby has the pleasure of being her youth pastor, and one thing that we can honestly say about Harley is she is genuinely beautiful on the inside and out. We were so excited to be able to capture how lovely and dreamy she is. Hope you enjoy this first part of her session:)!
