Home with the {Wild}flowers;)

Life is a funny thing sometimes.. I will never forget the day that I saw Joy's photography work for the first time. It was her young love session, and it was so powerful that my best friend called me just to tell me I had to go look at it. From there.. I was inspired, in awe, and in love with Joy's work.

Skip ahead about 8 months, and we were going to have the pleasure of photographing a Cali wedding.. the good thing was, it was only an hour away from Joy's home. We were so excited to scheme and plan a girl's weekend with someone who had become a dear {online} friend. I am so glad that God gave us the ability to meet her, because she genuinely became an instant friend, and encourager, and just someone we could be ourselves with. That is rare to find so quickly, but we genuinely felt at home, in her home.

We are so priviledged to show you these images of Joy and her family. We had all these grand ideas, but one thing Joy wanted was to show her family as they were.. not in some big field, with the perfect outfits, but more in the comfort of their home, snuggling and having a good time. Gracie decided to turn on the charm, and we had the best time throwing sugar, and baking cookies in their vintage inspired PERFECT kitchen;)!

We miss all you guys so much, and can't wait to figure out a way to get all four of your tails out here to NC. We love you all.. many xoxo
